WILL OUR NATION BE CORRUPTION FREE?

The term corruption is a known term to everyone living in our country. As soon as a child crosses his/her adolescence; slowly s/he gets familiar to it. Do you know where the maximum revenue of the government goes? It goes directly to the pockets of some corrupt people. You may not believe this but this is the fact. You might have come across a video clipping of the former prime minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee. Once he got an opportunity to ask the then prime minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. His question was simple; as he asked, when the central government grants one rupees, by the time it reaches the allotted place it becomes just 15 paise. He wanted to know the reason but Nehruji couldn’t give a valid answer and had to answer quite humourously.

We know that the revenue collected by the government goes to different schemes for national development. It is a well known fact that the fund is not used properly by the contractors.  I don’t blame the contractors directly because even the contractors are helpless somewhere in the process. Starting from the elected representatives to the bureaucrats, almost everyone gets the share of the allotted fund. Media is also not an exception. I dared to say so because I have seen media representatives demanding the share personally. Media people getting engaged to blackmailing is quite common now. If someone wishes to oppose my view I challenge them to telecast the misuse of allotted funds in almost all the schemes. Some may not agree to me but I wish to ask them; if they (Media Representatives) are not corrupt, then why not the representatives bring out the misuse of allotted funds almost everywhere and create a social awareness for the people?

When everyone wishes to be corrupt; how can we see a nation corruption free? Even if someone dares to bring a social change, s/he is forced to speak for them (Corrupt people) and s/he never dares to go against them risking his/her life.

I must say that the limit of corruption is decreasing day by day and I hope this to end soon from our society though it has become a part of our life. The increasing number of educated people in the country is one of the main reasons for it. We can’t deny the role of New media in this context. The advent of New Media forced the term to limit itself.

Despite these limitations the number of the corrupt people didn’t end; it has just gone down. I request the people living in this country; which is one of the largest democracies of the world to come forward and help in the national development.
